"A hidden gem in Damai! RARE offers beautifully prepared Western dishes with a touch of elegance. The food is flavorful, well-portioned, and made with quality ingredients. Loved their their beef sausages, superbly made. Their wine selection is impressive—thoughtfully curated and pairs perfectly with the menu. Service was superb. The staffs are kind and efficient. Was there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. A great spot for a chill dinner, date night, or catching up with friends over good food and wine. This place comes with a private room too."

"Everything was great, the only problem I had was if I didn't reserve a table beforehand the only available table is outdoors"

"1. Taste: 5/5 2. Presentation: 5/5 3. Portion size: 4/5 4 Temperature: 4/5 5. Service: 4/5 6. Value for money: 4/5 7. Overall: 5/5 Not so rare food but walking into this restaurant had me confused whether i step into a bar or a restaurant. The seat are hi as u wld expect in a bar but thn ur almost surrounded in international wine selection which gave that western feel n vibe. There’s a mixture of furniture from barrel table to hi table n if u go upstairs there’s literally a sitting area as if u stepped into someone’s home. Kitchen is on the ground floor so ur real estate is somewhat sacrificed. Unfortunately I didn’t make any table arrangement n it was full n rather thn sit upstairs I decided on a small table out side since it was a cool night. Ok lets talk about food, the caprese ala is as good as u get although i wld like to knw wat kind of olive oil thy use cos there’s many fake olive oil out there now. The tomato was large n fresh n i love dis dish. Mushroom soup had acceptable thickness n was served hot n tasted pretty nice although i wld like at least a french bread to clean the left overs. Both the bolognese and carbonara r tastefully made but the carbonara usually with Guanciale which is pork, not sure if thy serve pork here or not but whatever was used as an alternative had very little impact on the overall dish. Overall a wonderful place to eat n the cat was hungry too. Its on the above average to hi side so for 2, don’t expect anything less than a 100 n b sure to book a table bcos ground floor is soooo much better thn 1st floor."

"Some of these photos are taken at different times but this restaurant is literally one of my fav or even fav western restaurants in kk. Whenever i feel like eating western food i will always come here. I travel to many different western countries a lot and have tried A LOT of western dishes there and ive been trying to find a good restaurant that has that similar taste but without having to go far and rare food & wine is definitely it without a doubt. If you’re a wine lover this place is definitely for u it has a lot of wine to choose from. The atmosphere here is nice too it got that fancy casual dinner vibe and has 2 floors. Let’s move on to their food!! I’ve tried multiple variations of their dishes and i can say none of them have actually disappointed me yet except for their dessert. For starter you can’t miss out on their sourdough bread or garlic bread. The sourdough tasted like it’s freshly made, it’s warm, fluffy and soft so good paired with the butter, honey (my favourite) and the vinaigrette. The garlic bread is fantastic aswell just perfect amount ratio of garlic and butter, great when you want something light. A absolutely must order here is their steak. I really don’t play with my steak and i can confirm the steak here is being perfectly cooked all the time (i choose medium rare) paired with a tangy black pepper sauce (i usually don’t dip it in the sauce bcs the steak already has enough flavour), flaky salt and dijon mustard. The salt and dijon mustard to me enhances the steak flavour. You also can’t go here without trying their truffle fries. It’s amazing with the crispiness of the fries and literally the best truffle sauce i’ve tasted it has that nice mushroom taste to it. Besides that, they also have 3 different kind of pasta to choose from, i’ve only ordered their carbonara, bolognese and truffle to me the truffle fettuccine wasn’t as i expected and it is kinda lack of taste maybe its just me bcs i expected it to be creamy. But my fav out of the three is their bolognese paired with their signature salad that has a sweet and sour type of sauce. I’ve also tried their salmon belly if you’re a person who loves salmon i would def recommend. The tiramisu tho was too sweet and they drizzled it with chocolate syrup which makes it even more sweeter and give u an ick so i wouldn’t recommend that unless u really love sweet desserts. If you’re searching for a good western spot that has great vibes and delicious food i would definitely recommend this place. The prices are also quite reasonable. The services is not bad aswell"

"This is the spot. The food was just sensational. Steaks range in price and type but not quality. The selection is very vast and definately worth the time to get there. I would suggest it to anyone in KK and plan on returning on my next visit. Yes it is pricy and posh but worth every penny."

"Whenever our family craves steak or lamb shank, Rare is always our top choice. In our opinion, they serve the best steak in town. While the restaurant leans more toward a wine bar setting—making the space feel a little cramped and the high dining chairs less comfortable—the food consistently impresses. We recently tried the baby octopus and soup, and both were absolutely delicious. No disappointment at all. They also offer a nice selection of snacks for lighter bites. Service is another highlight here. The staff are helpful, attentive, and make the overall dining experience even more enjoyable."

"Had a sudden crave for steak so I went here to give it a try. I ordered the Angus Sirloin and it was delicious & worth the price I paid. The tiramisu was good and quite a big portion. 100% recommended & will definitely come here again."
